    Instead of selecting one part of the shape when you have the shape builder
    on then deleting it, you can actually hold Alt/Option and the cursor turns
    into a minus and you can just delete the part from there! Hope this helps

    Hello Maggie. I enjoyed watching this video and I started experimenting
    with the pathfinder. It works well with the ellipse tool & square tool, but
    when I try to use the ellipse & square with the brush tool the path tool
    works differently (it produced very messy results). Do you have any helpful
    advice in regard to my dilemma? Lately I have been drawing manga eyes and
    abstract shapes and would like to utilize the path tool with shapes that I
    make with my brush tool.?
