Adobe Photoshop Elements Tool Tips Tutorial

Even a beginner can put Adobe Photoshop Elements to good use and come away with the intended effects. Prior to delving into the complete software, you should master the three most important tools it has to offer: smudge, blur and sharpen. When working on digital images, these three tools are perfect for editing images to achieve the desired affect.

The smudge tool function helps to add special background and foreground effects to an image, such as blurring the foreground into the background or by blurring the background into the foreground. This allows you to edit images that may be out of focus or if there is an irritating shadow that you need to get rid of. The blur tool can be located by right-clicking on the smudge icon, and allows you to slightly blur a photo should the image appear too sharp, just as the Sharpen Tool, located in the same way, can be used to make a photo sharper should it be blurred.

If you wish to create darker tones in your digital images, you can do so by editing with the use of the burn tool. If your images have been over-exposed, the burn tool can also highlight details that may have been missed in the original image. The dodge tool is yet another option in this software and it too can be found by right-clicking (this time on the burn icon), however, it should be noted that this particular tool should be used if you want to make your images lighter by bringing out the details caused by shadows in over-exposed pictures.

Another great editing tool that is also located by right-clicking the burn tool icon is the sponge tool, which allows you to saturate or de-saturate a photo. Saturation is making the image brighter and more colorful whereas de-saturation will dampen the color to make it a bit more dull. You are also able to switch foreground and background colors, for extra special effects that will make you digital photos look unique. This tool allows you to interchange the background color of an image to be the foreground color and vice verse.

With another click of a button, the software for Adobe Photoshop Elements will change the colors in a photograph around for you. If you play around with the colors, you will be able to create some spectacular images like setting the background to red. If you then want to write over the image in the same color, you can click on the icon and Adobe Elements will change the colors around and then allow you to write in red on top of the image.

All of the above, are just a few of the basic techniques you can use to come to a better understanding of how the tools in Adobe Elements software works.

I have a clip from a movie I need to cut up using a free movie editing tool and I need to turn it into a GIF using another tool. Any help?

There are several programs available, but sadly you wont be able to find a free reliable one.

The best by far in my expirience is ulead gif animator.

Positioning Flash CS4 Objects in 3D Space: Using the 3D Rotation Tool

With the introduction of the CS4 Professional, Flash has transitioned itself from a mere 2D animation tool to a program that can animate and position objects in three dimensional space. Developers can add perspective to objects in 3D space throughout the development of flash animation.
Flash CS4 has introduced special tools for precise 3D positioning. These tools include the Transform Panel, the 3D rotation tool and the 3D translation tool. The special tools are used for positioning objects in 3D space use three dimensional coordinates. These coordinates include x, y and z axis. Using them will enable you to rotate or add perspective to objects as well as text. A 3D text makes web design flash animation more eye-catchy and attractive. But, to move objects in real three dimensional space, developers need to convert objects as movie clip symbols.
