I wanted to buy adobe premiere pro8 but I don’t have enough ram. Are there any older premieres that take up less room? Or any generic adobe wanna be programs? I have already tried Vegas and I don’t like it.

You need 512K of RAM or more for Adobe Premiere Pro 2 . Also, you should have, at least, Pentium 4 processor, Windows XP, and 800 MB of available hard drive for installation (6 GB for additional content). Pinnacle Studio is an alternative, but the new software require more RAM and hard drive.

A 4 or 5 minute video takes about 2 hours to render in Adobe Premiere Pro. That’s just ridiculous. Why, in the world, does it take so long??! Windows Movie Maker can render the same set of clips in just a couple of minutes. My computer is not slow by any means. For whatever reason I can’t get Adobe to render a movie in any reasonable amount of time. Why? I’m not concerned with great quality, as it’s just a video that is going to the web.

Depends on your computer particularly processor and RAM. Also depends on the format and resolution. Movie Maker is no comparison to Premiere. If you aren’t concerned with quality, render it out as MPEG 1 or 2 and no bigger than 640 x 480 resolution. Don’t render as AVI, that’s uncompressed and will take a while. If you jacked up all the settings, that would be why it takes a while. Rendering takes a while to render, especially high quality settings. Take a look at your settings.

Not sure what type of music that would fall into, but anyways you had one white guy singing the hook/chorus, one black guy rapping and one black guy singing in a reggae-ish melody. The second is that vector formats are generally easier to animate for Flash and Shockwave.

Most Adobe Illustrator training will focus on the drawing tools in Illustrator; while there are limited drawing tools in Photoshop, once you’ve grown accustomed to the flexibility Illustrator has to offer, there’s no going back. You can create effects using Bezier curve tools, adjust stroke and fill independently, and have the full range of alignment and adjustment tools imaginable. You have access to the InDesign font engine, and the same color matching palette that Photoshop has.

One of the more interesting tools within Illustrator is the Pathfinder tool set, which allows you to merge shapes, or subtract a foreground shape to make compound artifacts. For example, the usual tutorial shows you how to create a logo from multiple parts by aligning them, then subtracting the attachment points on the front shape and subtracting it from the back shape, creating a ‘star callout’. First, it outputs to both PDF and exports to Flash, which are the two most common interchange formats on the web.
