I’m learning how to use Adobe Lightroom more efficiently. I’ve figured out some neat tricks to make my colors jump out more. For today’s photos, all I’m doing are the following:

1. Set white balance to cloudy.
2. Set camera calibration to landscape.
3. Add ND graduated filter to bring out more of the blue in the sky.
4. Slight increase in saturation of oranges and yellows.

Just these four steps make the photo look so much better!

The question really needs to be more specific. But I shall second guess what you “might” be asking about and explain what to do.

Assumption: You want to put a different background behind a person.

1. With a selection tool, magic wand, magnetic lasso, lasso or polygon lasso, select your subject – the person. How well this looks will depend upon your skill with the mouse making the selection. Zoom in to get a close look. While selecting, if you need to get to an edge, press the space bar to temporarily reveal the Hand for moving the image. If not careful you will lose the selection and have to start over.

Also look at the options bar for the selection tool. There are four icons. The first is a single square = new selection. The next one is two overlapping squares = add to current seletion, the third one is two overlapping squares one without fill = substrate from current selection, the last you should not worry about for now.

2. Once the selection is complete — menu Select > Save Selection, give it a name and click OK. If you need to bring it back, Select > Load Selection.

3. With the selection still visible, Edit > Copy, then Edit > Paste. You will not see immediately anything different. Goto menu Window > Layer if Layers is not visible. You should see two layers, one the Background the other Layer 1. Click the “eye” in the Background Layer (left most column in the Layer pallette.) Now you see only what you selected.

4. Without closing the image you have been working on, Open the image that has the background you want to use. Make adjustments in pane size so you can see both images at least partically.

5. Click on the “person” image to make it your focus. Select the Move tool, Ctrl+V, click on the “person”, hold and drag to the “background” image.

6. Job done. However, if you need to resize the “person”, select the Transformation tool, Ctrl+T, and use the handles to resize. Pressing the Shift key and grabbing a corner handle will resize the image maintaining it proportion.

it is a computer file…not a disc!

Installed fine on my machine. Just put the first disk in and follow the prompts. You shouldn’t need anything installed first (other than windows 7).

Adobe has a pretty good hotline if you have problems.

5.    The action script can even make an encyclopedia set known as the eBooks bundle.  You simply need to compile it again to create a Book Cover Set.

Now that you know how to make an eBook cover, you can make one for all of the eBooks that you are trying to sell online. A well-designed eBook cover can make your eBooks look more credible and people will be interested in it once they see the cover. This would increase the chances of selling your eBooks.
