Is there a way to transfer videos from Adobe Flash Player into iTunes or Realplayer or Windows Media Player? I tried copying and pasting the links but that doens’t work. Does anyone know a trick how to burn Flash Player Videos or how to get the link playing in iTunes or other players? Or is it not possible? Thanks

I currently am running Windows XP Media Center 2005 and I recently removed the Internet Explorer and Media Center shortcuts from my desktop and now I can’t launch the programs.
Any solutions? I can’t recover the icons using file recovery software.
I just tried the fix however there is no folder for media center any more and when I recreated the Internet Explorer shortcut, clicking it only created more shortcuts and didn’t launch the program

If they’re in your start – programs menu, just right click on them and create short cut, or grab them and drag them to your desk top.

Choichun Leung left Wales when she was seventeen to pursue a degree in metal-smithing at Loughborough college of Art and Design in the UK, afterwhich she studied Buddhist iconography in both Beijing and the Yangkung caves in China’s Shanxi province. In 1988 she moved to London where she studied under the Ray Man Chinese Orchestra as a percussionist and a student of the Gu-qin – a traditional Chinese bass zither. Leung worked in Hong Kong as a background artist for animation film before returning to London in 1992 where she received a grant and Gold Award from the Prince of Wales’ Youth Business Trust for the most innovative new business of the year: a line of symbolic art products using the traditional technique of Chinese paper cutting.

With music and the arts always hand in hand, Leung came to New York in 1994 where she began painting seriously, worked as an assistant to artist Peter Max, and studied music composition. From that point forward, Choichun’s artwork has been inextricably entwined with her interest in music and have continued to influence each other.

As the single mother of a young daughter, Choichun moved to Germany in 2002 to write music, perform and collaborate on an audio/visual project based in Koln. Upon the invitation of a gallery in 2006 she returned to New York. Most recently Choichun has been featured in two solo exhibitions at JLA Baxter House in Manhattan and will take part in a group showing in Hamburg in November 2008. Choichun currently lives in Brooklyn, NYC .

Artist Statement Our lives are as long as we remember. Our memories are imbedded in us like DNA. But what of lives that through trauma or age have lost memory? What of the interplay of conscious thought and the sub-conscious? Which one really drives the show? My paintings are like rorschach tests in reverse, a psychological diary of that moment in time, an investigation of the relationship between past and present, reality and illusion and in effect a blue print to the past self. Through the symbolisms revealed, and the stories or objects we project into the abstract, we expose another layer of ourselves and in turn provide clues to what may not be fully aware. My paintings are simple traces of that activity, void of any meaning, but imbedded with the years of experience that shapes us, yet also holds us hostage.

Choichun never paints from sketches but instead allows the process and medium dictate. Each application is an expressive gesture evoking the emotion and inner psychology of that moment, a conflicted excavation of what may be hidden or imagined. The script like lines emerge as a non-cognitive language or what she has come to identify as ‘glyphs’ – a pictographic personal alphabet; where ‘glyphs’ document the days, weeks and months spent on a piece. The one actual reference that Choichun can identify in her work after the fact springs from her background in music and her fascination with its chaotic notes and interpretive patterns. These can be seen in the work’s fine, rhythmic and frenetic lines as well as in the heavier, poured-on, black & white ‘mono-glyphs’ which overtake the paintings like visual representations of a sound. Choichun paints on both wood panels and canvas, using liquid acrylic, aerosol, oil bars and thread . With sticks, brushes, trowels and vessels: applying the paint and then scratching through the layers to reveal what is underneath, scripting with ‘glyphs’ throughout, painting over, sanding down and repeating this process until an image is revealed or another is hidden.

I went to Grants Bar last night with two friends. However, their service was unacceptable to the point where I almost regretted not going to Red Lobster instead. From the time we entered to when we left, my friends and I were scrutinized by the server and bartender. They were rude and were very short with us and I could tell they were talking about us by their body language. We ended up not leaving a tip because their service was so pitiful. Our order and food was mishandled, they became rude after we returned the wrong salad.

I suggest going to Grants Bar on Grant Avenue in the north-east on Mondays when they have more cordial bartenders and cooks on the line.

As you can see in the picture though, there were some girls that got up on tables and danced. It was also Karaoke night.

Create Custom Media Player Controls in Flash Catalyst CS5

Catalyst and Interactivity

Adobe has promoted Flash Catalyst mainly as a tool in sophisticated workflows used to create very expensive projects. In those scenarios, artwork created in Illustrator is passed through Catalyst, where it takes on interactive properties such as serving as a custom scrollbar or a custom video player video tutorials(as in the example we’ll explore in this article). That interactive object is then passed along to coders, who use Adobe’s Flex 4 application to integrate the object into complex programs.

That’s a useful scenario, but it’s not what we’re going to do in this article. Instead, we’ll hijack the Flash Catalyst application and use it to generate a completely standalone web page with an embedded, customized Flash Video player.

Preparing Flash Video (FLV/FV4)

Catalyst works with only one video format, Flash Video, in either the FLV or FV4 versions. My book video tutorialswalks through the entire process of converting video from formats such as QuickTime (MOV), Windows Media (WMV), and so on to Flash Video. Even without the book, if you have access to Adobe Media Encoder, you’ll be able to generate a basic Flash Video file that’s good enough to use for the recipe in this article.

In either case, to create a working embedded video player with custom video controls in Flash Catalyst CS5, you’ll need an FLV or FV4 file. Here’s an easy solution if that’s beyond your reach at the moment: Use an MP3 audio file. The steps in the following tutorial are easy to transpose to MP3, and you probably have an MP3 audio file somewhere on your computer that you can use to follow along with this example.

Limits of Catalyst-Generated Custom Media Player Controls

Flash Catalyst CS5 has a limited set of available controls: play, pause, and stop buttons. Missing are volume controls, as well as a scrubber bar to allow viewers ( video tutorials) to fast-forward or scrub backward. If you’ve read my reviews and articles on Catalyst, you know that I’m campaigning for a more full-featured set of player controls in the next version of Catalyst.

In the meantime, those play, pause, and stop buttons provide enough control to implement a customized video-viewing experience. And given that you can use any artwork you have as buttons, placing them wherever you want onscreen, even the limited set of Catalyst-generated player controls can be used to create a very unique media player experience.

With these warnings, provisos, and prerequisites, let’s create a custom video player!
