How To Get Free Wallpapers On Your iPhone or iPod Touch

iPhones and iPods come with a wide variety of applications you can use in order to get new and fit wallpapers for your personalized items. However, these online galleries may not always include what you would expect. Besides that, you will need a Wi-Fi connection around you or an Internet based contract. If you lack any of these or you just can’t find the right wallpapers for yourself, then you should try the computer.

A simple Bing search will display hundreds or even thousands of free wallpapers websites. But how do you add them to your phone?

First of all, you need to find the right image. Make sure it is big enough. You can always resize it and make it smaller. The other side resizing is not that efficient and looks really bad. You may also try out some of your favorite pictures with yourself, from your birthday or with your pet.

If you choose to search online, save the file on your computer first. Depending on your browser, the picture may be downloaded to a default folder or you will be asked then where you want to have it. PC users default folder is “My Pictures”, while the Mac users have an iPhoto gallery.

Once you have the picture you want, resize them to fit with your iPhone or iPad screen resolution. If you leave them as they are, they may be inappropriate. As the device tries to fit the image to its screen, you will most likely end up with a deformed wallpaper. Therefore, you should know what size you need and resize the picture with various software. iPhoto for Mac or Photoshop for PC are just two of the most common samples.

Alright, you have the picture ready, now it is time to get it on your device.

Connect the device to your computer through the USB cable and launch the iTunes application. Once it is loaded, click on the “Sync photos from” button in order to start copying the pictures. You will be prompted with a search window. Locate the folder of your pictures and open in. You may choose to import all the pictures from a folder, a group of multiple folders or just an image. Up to you. And this is it.

Now you have the pictures on your iPhone or iPod. If you are familiar with the device, you shouldn’t have any problems setting any of them as a wallpaper. However, if you just purchased your “jewel”, you should either check your manual or just go through your gallery. Once you find the picture you want, you should have an option to use or to set as a wallpaper.

This is all. Enjoy your new free wallpapers. The operation is piece of cake once you get used to it. For a new iPhone or iPod owner, it may sound like a very difficult task. Don’t forget about the free wallpapers galleries from the Apple Store too. You can always access them through your device.

Apple was definitely aiming to give the best when they did this iPod, and they did. The Apple iPod Touch 64GB means an iPod as you know it with the added advantage of a faster processor and better graphics. You can call it the new nano but at super speeds and excellent screen view.

You can download movies onto the Apple iPod Touch 64GB, and the additional storage is definitely a treat when it comes to this. The image, one of the things that completely makes it superior over previous models is much clearer and crisper and the widescreen makes it much more comfortable to watch movies on. It comes with on-screen controls as well, so you don’t have to fumble with buttons on the panel if you want to adjust picture of volume. The movies are available at iTunes, and you can download them straight to the iPod.
Gaming is great on the Apple iPod Touch 64GB.
