Is it possible to get the first aid sign as a plain text character instead of clip art?

I know how to turn the task pane on and off. My task is to make the clip art task pane the default, since that is the most common and most useful for the children I work with. It is very easy to switch between them, of course, but I would like the clip art task pane to show first.

When I installed it it asked me which part to open in and I said editor, but now I want to use organizer more. Can I reset this or set up a separate shortcut?
On my adobe reader as soon as i get to the bottom of a page it Forces me to go to the top of the next one. I like to continuously press the down button, so the line I am reading is at top. How do I keep adobe from switching pages?
