Learn How to add Beams of Sunlight Through Trees – Adding Sunlight Through Trees In Adobe Photoshop Tutorial

In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, we’re going to learn how to add beams of sunlight through trees, which is not only a great way to make an image look more interesting, it’s also a lot easier to do than you might think, as we’ll see. We’ll even finish things off by making the sunbeams appear to be shining on the ground after they pass through the trees, which adds more realism to the final effect.

Step 1: Find The Color Channel With The Highest Contrast

With our image open in Photoshop, the first thing we need to do is find out which of our three color channels (Red, Green and Blue) contains the highest amount of contrast. To do that, switch over to your Channels palette, which by default is grouped in beside your Layers palette. You’ll see the “Red”, “Green” and “Blue” channels listed, which combine to create all the colors we see in our image. You’ll also see what appears to be a fourth channel, the “RGB” channel at the top, but it’s really just the composite of the Red, Green and Blue channels (“RGB” stands for “Red, Green and Blue”) and isn’t a channel itself:

We’re interested in the three color channels, and what you want to do is click on each channel while keeping an eye on your image to see which one of them gives us the highest amount of contrast in the image.

Click on the Red channel first and you’ll see your image turn black and white. Remember what it looks like, then click on the Green channel. You’ll see a different looking black and white version of the image. Again, remember what it looks like, then click on the Blue channel for a third black and white version of the image. You want to choose the version that offers the highest amount of contrast, and chances are, if the image you’re working on looks similar to mine, it will be the Blue channel with the highest contrast. Here’s what my Blue channel looks like. The sky in the background is nice and bright while the trees and ground are very dark, exactly what I was looking for:

Step 2: Make A Copy Of The Channel

Now that I know my Blue channel is the one that offers the highest amount of contrast, I need to make a duplicate of it. To copy a channel, simply click on it and drag it down onto the New Channel icon at the bottom of the Channels palette (it’s the second icon from the right):

Release your mouse button and you’ll see the copy of the channel below all the other channels in the Channels palette. Since I copied my Blue channel, Photoshop named the duplicate “Blue copy”:

Click OK when you’re done to exit out of the dialog box. Here’s my image after dragging the slider. The dark areas now appear filled in with black while the sky in the background remains nice and bright:

It is highly unusual to and will do no good to add a watermark to a logo.
You simply make the Logo a link
Watermark technology is done by software.
If you intent is so that the logo can’t be copied it is done much different than using a watermark,
Using a watermark is done so that you can prove that your registered Tardemark or your Registered Copyright can’t be duplicated and is much more indepth than simply placing an imbeded image on a logo.

Adding Free Pictures to Your Ebay Auction Listing

I get a lot of questions from people wanting to know how to add more pictures to their auction listings. Do you know that eBay charges for additional pictures? Yes, that’s right. Pay attention when you launch your next eBay listing. Only the first picture is for free. For any additional photos you will be paying .15 per photo. This does not sound much but you will be surprised how these figures add up: Imagine you add 3-4 photos per listing. This will end up to an additional .50 – just for hosting of your photos. Let’s say you have 3-5 listings a day at the end of the year you might have paid 0-600$ just for picture hosting. The fees can add up very quickly. Do you know that you can add as many pictures as you like – For Free and even without using eBay’s image hosting service? Well, you could use one of the so called “auction management” services.

So, what can you do to avoid these additional costs? Of course, you can add only one picture per item, but guess what?? Right, the chance that your potential customer/bidder quickly moves to another listing is high. In fact, VERY high!! One of the frequently used design elements in poster printing is of course the text. When you print posters you need text for the title of the poster, as well as the myriad other details that describe the whole message of a color poster. However, for most of poster printing designs, you of course will not just type in the text. No. You want the text to have some sort of effect right?

In this guide, I will give you the step by step instructions on how to add borders and shadows to your text in poster printing. This should add that extra detail in your poster text to make it interesting. Let us start with creating your text.

1. Create your text.

To add a text layer to your design just look for the big “T” icon in your Photoshop tools. Simply click on it, and then go to your canvass. Click and drag your mouse to place a text area where you can type in your text. Afterward, you can then enter in the text you need.

2. Selecting the text layer.

With that done, you should see that a text layer of the one you made has automatically been created. Typically it is named after the text you just entered. To select the text layer, just click on it in your layer view. It is usually on the right hand side of the Photoshop workspace.

3. Accessing the blending options.

Next, you need to access the blending options to apply the effects that we need for the color poster text. Do this by right clicking on the selected text layer to bring up the context menu. Then, click on the option “blending options”. The blending options dialog window should show up.

4. Adding the “stroke” option and adjusting it.

In the blending options window, click on the check box for “stroke” and then click on the name stroke itself. You should see the window change to display the options for adding an outline stroke or “border” for your text. Here you can adjust the color as well as the size of the stroke or border. Just change it to your taste.

5. Adding the “shadow” option and adjusting it.

Now, if you want to add a shadow effect, just click on the check box for “shadows” and then click on the name. Again you will see the window change to display the options for shadows. Just play with your options in terms of the angle of the shadows, the spread, the distance and even the color.

6. Saving your changes.

Once you are done playing with the stroke and shadow options, you just save your changes by clicking on “OK” at the bottom.

7. Editing your changes.

You just added shadows and strokes to your text with this. You can edit the effects anytime by just right clicking on that specific text layer again and then choosing the blending options item once again. Adjust and change as much as you like until you get the best effect that you want for your color posters.

Hopefully that helps you add a little interesting element to your text for poster printing. There are many other combinations of effects that you should try and play with in Photoshop for posters. Do not be afraid to experiment in poster printing and design.
