She mentioned that Betrayed is “it is more interesting from a growing up point of view. the teenage stuff/mushy stuff is pretty predictable.” So they do not sound sadistic. Let us know what you think of them if you get a chance to read them.

One of the people here said that she read Marked and it was like Twilight in it was a story about these high school students that once they came of age they would become or not become vampires. If they did become vampires they were taken to another school. Another one mentioned that Marked was “it’s not so much a love story tho. more of a “coping with a huge change in my life” story.”

Sorry for the delay.But the library copy is still out and I have not read this one. There is mixed feelings on this book. Either people love it or hate it. Did you read the first book in the series, Marked? I am asking another person at the library that read the book about it and will try to get that as soon as possible.

i’d love one with vampire love but not in a sadistic kind of way, lol. i really loved the twilight saga and i’ve read L.J Smith. Is Betrayed someone you’d recommend? btw, I’m 16

Boys that Bite from Blood Coven are more like a Buffy & Angel story. Tantalize is more like a werewolf story like Twilight. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr is a sequel more like Twilight only Faires are after human blood. Vampire High by Douglas Rees not romancy has a boy main character and has no love interest. Peeps by Scott Westerfeld is urban, gritty , and edge of creepy. Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith is now TV series.
